Privacy Policy · Effective March 15, 2026

What Capture does

Capture is a minimal app that lets you quickly email a thought to yourself. You sign in with your Google account and the app sends an email from your Gmail to your Gmail.

Data we collect

None. Capture does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. There is no backend, no analytics, and no tracking.

Google account access

Capture requests the following Google OAuth scope:

Your Google access token is stored only in the app's runtime memory and is never persisted to disk or sent to any third party. Capture cannot read, modify, or delete your emails — it can only send.

Data transmission

When you send a note, the app communicates directly with the Gmail API (gmail.googleapis.com) over HTTPS. No data passes through any intermediary server.

Data storage

Capture does not store your emails, notes, or any user content. Once sent, the content exists only in your Gmail inbox.

Third-party services

The only third-party service used is Google's Gmail API and Google Sign-In. Their privacy policies apply to data handled by Google:

Children's privacy

Capture is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
